Mic Gain Settings, Basic recording & Editing in Reaper DAW
Task: We will record 10 tracks at various input gain levels to figure out what is the best gain setting for our microphone.
Along the way we have the following Learning Intentions:
🎯 Understand signal to noise ratio (SNR)
🎯 Be comfortable changing input gain (in Windows)
🎯 Basic recording & Editing in Reaper DAW
🎯 Ability to render an MP3
🎯 Ability to take screenshots
For those of you in my class who will submit the MP3s and Screenshot to me it will also be a chance for you to demonstrate that you can follow instructions well by ensuring that you adhere to the requested file naming format etc.
