Canada is now known as a source nation for stolen vehicles: Industry expert Bryan Gast
Bryan Gast, vice president of investigative services at Equite Association, tells BNN Bloomberg that organized crime took advantage of global supply chain disruptions during Covid and that vehicle thefts in Canada have surged in recent years. He says many of the stolen vehicles, especially from Ontario and Quebec, are exported out of the country, and that cars with push-button starts are especially targeted. He lists some steps that owners can take to protect their vehicles.
