Transpiration pull | What is transpirational pull | Transpiration pull in plants | Biology
In This video, you will learn about transpiration pull in plants.
Transpiration is the process by which water molecules move upwards from the roots to the leaves and escape as vapor through the stomata. This movement is facilitated by cohesion, where water molecules stick together, forming a continuous chain, and adhesion, where water molecules stick to the xylem walls. When a water molecule evaporates from a stoma, it pulls the next molecule up to replace it, creating a continuous upward pull from the roots to the leaves. Together, cohesion and adhesion enable water to travel against gravity from the roots to the leaves.
I hope it will be helpful to you.
