The Russian artillery forces conducted drills to test an upgraded Krasnopol weapon system in Leningrad Region on Sunday.
The Krasnopol system comprises of high-precision 152mm or 155mm laser-guided rounds, with a reported accuracy of more than 95 percent, fired from self-propelled howitzers.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the Krasnopol weapon system has been deployed in military operations in Syria.
