How could the CineStill 800T Trademark affect film photography?
Film photographers know the term 800T to mean the ISO and color balance of the film. When CineStill trademarked a term the vast majority of photographers and manufacturers considered descriptive, they may have created new roadblocks that even major manufacturers will have to abide by. That means companies like Harman, Adox, Fuji, and Kodak will never be able to release their own 800T color film — unless they challenge the mark in court.
