Programming a mill/turn machine requires the coordination of multiple turrets, axes, and spindles in a very tight space to avoid collisions. Parking a turret, or sending it to a pre-defined safe location, is commonly used in a program to move a component that isn't involved in the current operation to a safe location, but there may be several pre-defined park locations.
