Another screwball comedy adapted from a book by Donald E. Westlake - this time not crime based as such, but about an unsuccessful gallery owner with a side scam, who with two women on the go, invents a twin brother, with obviously comic results.
Performances from the three leads are not their best - the book is hilarious, but I think the two men who adapted it got things a little lost in translation.
Banderas and Griffith got married as a result of this meeting - for some twenty years - but somehow their on screen chemistry is less than perfect.
Joan Cusack as an art gallery assistant, kind of steals the acting show here.
I included this film, more as a nod to Westlake, than thinking it is a great movie, but it does have some good comic moments, and a great music score.
