Grace | Joni Eareckson Tada Shares Her Thoughts About Grace
Grace saves us, rescues us, and redeems us. As he does for all who trust in Jesus, God rescued Joni from the grip of sin when she professed Christ as her Savior. But after breaking her neck in a diving accident, Joni needed to experience another facet of grace: the power of God to help her not only survive but thrive in her suffering.
As 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Through decades of quadriplegia, Joni has learned to trust the sufficiency God's grace to live a life that pleases him and blesses others, reflecting Christ's power and goodness. To this day, Joni is ever amazed by the grace that gives her the power to smile through suffering, share the Gospel with people around the world, and know that God's redemptive purposes will come to completion, for her life and the world.
