The Israeli museum ZUMU is a community-based museum on the move that rebuilds itself every year in a different city throughout Israel, showcasing contemporary art exhibits created and curated in collaboration with the local communities. Watch the founding director and chief curator Milana Gitzin-Adiram explain how ZUMU proves that art can play a crucial role in creating a more open and accepting community and building bridges between all different sections of Israeli society.

זומו הוא מוזיאון נייד, מבוסס קהילות, שנודד בכל רחבי ישראל ומציג תערוכות מתחלפות שנוצרות ונאצרות יחד עם הקהילות המקומיות. אנחנו בזומו (שילוב של המילים זוז ומוזיאון) מאמינים שהאמנות היא מפתח מהותי ליצירת קהילה פתוחה ומכילה יותר ולהנחת גשרים בין כל חלקי החברה הישראלית. יצאנו אל המסע פורץ הדרך כדי לנטרל מרחקים גאוגרפיים, לגשר על פערים תרבותיים, לעקוף מחסומים פיזיים, להתגבר על חסמים תודעתיים ולבטל את ההפרדות המוכרות בין האמן לקהל, האמנות לקהילה והיצירה למציאות.

את הקמת המוזיאון יזמה מילנה גיצין אדירם. לפיתוח המודל הצטרפו שרון גלזברג והלית מיכאלי, ויחד הן יצרו פורמט חדשני וייחודי המבוסס על "משולש הזהב": שילוב בלתי ניתן להפרדה בין אמנות, חינוך וקהילה. אליהן חבר שי עיד אלוני שפיתח את השפה העיצובית הייחודית של זומו, אשר מביאה לידי ביטוי חזותי את הערכים עליהם מבוסס המוזיאון. לקבוצת היוצרים הצטרפו גם המפיק קובי אבן חיים, איש התקשורת אריאל אדירם והאוצרות עפרה חרנם ורות אופנהיים.
