Despite the progress pride parades and protests have developed within the LGBTQ+ community, there is still a fight today for equality globally. With Covid-19, prides have been cancelled all around the world, including Manchester, UK's annual pride weekend, with many turning to the digital world.
This visual poem was created as a reflection of Manchester's past LGBTQ+ Pride events to remind everyone of the community and safe place in which we celebrate our achievements so far. But we can't become complacent...
In many countries, loving someone of your own gender is still illegal, as well as many more basic human rights. I hope you enjoy this video, and can further support the LGBTQ+ community as either a member or an ally.
