Don't Let Clients Know You Work Late At Night
Early on in my career, my clients knew that I worked late at night. It became a topic of conversation and in some cases a bonding moment with my clients that were doing the same. I later figured out that it was a disadvantage. Me and those clients would exchange messages while working at night and it became a distraction. My quiet time working alone while everyone was sleeping started to shift to correspondence time and taking care of small tasks that could have waited til later. If you can, don’t let your clients know you work late at night. It’s a good boundary to have, especially if you choose to shift your schedule to regular hours later.
