In this series, you learn how to rig a character for games using simple bone setups. Although 3ds Max has automated skeleton tools such as Biped or CAT, you can have more control over a skeleton you build yourself using 3ds Max bones. Here, you learn how to build such bones and how to rig them to make an animator's job easier when the time comes to animate the character. In this Part 1 movie, you explore some basic setups and some "Dos & Don'ts" before you actually start the bone creation process.
