The Aria collection debuts in a film co-directed by director and photographer Floria Sigismondi and Alessandro Michele. “Aria” is the solo voice that advances on the stage, but it is also the natural element. In the notes on the collection, the Creative Director defines it: "a deep and ecstatic immersion in everything that we are fleetingly missing today... a feast of air".
In the year of Gucci's centenary, Alessandro Michele leafs through the pages of the history of the Maison and reflects, in a completely personal way, on the mythology that surrounds the name of the brand. We are in front of the door of the Savoy Club, a tribute to the Savoy Hotel in London where the young Guccio Gucci worked as a porter. Once we have crossed the threshold, we enter that "laboratory of hacking, incursions and metamorphosis" - as we read in Alessandro Michele's notes - which brings together elements of the tradition of the Maison and of Demna Gvasalia's Balenciaga collections, in a final act of homage reverential.

The soundtrack, by Alessandro Michele and mixed by Lawrence Rothman, includes a selection of songs that contain the word "Gucci", showing how, over the years, the mythology of the Maison has established itself in the collective imagination, fueling the vocabulary of the pop culture.
