After months of searching for her son, an Acadia Parish mother was shocked to find out not only was he dead, but that his remains had been cremated and his ashes spread in the pauper area of a Baton Rouge cemetery. She claims a coroner did not do enough to track down her son’s next of kin. News 15 Investigates has learned this family is not alone, and some are calling on policies and laws to change.
