Comparing ram and cpu usage of antiX and MX 21 on low spec hardware
64 bit MX and antiX on a Lenovo s21e and 32 bit MX and antiX on a eeepc 904ha.
I didn't mention boot times. antiX on the s21e was 23 seconds. MX about 31 seconds.
antiX on the eeepc was 52 seconds but MX was 97 seconds.
TL;DR
antiX is a bit more responsive (feels snappier) than MX on low end hardware but of course the tradeoff is going with a window manager environment rather than a full desktop environment.
