Persuasive texts are made up of a title, an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. In this video we will look at how to structure and write a persuasive body paragraph.
When we write a body paragraph, we must begin with a topic sentence. A topic sentence is an overview, or summary, of what the paragraph is about. Next, we need to include details, evidence and examples that support the main idea of the paragraph. The last sentence of the paragraph is usually a concluding sentence that sums up the idea of the paragraph and links it to the main idea of the text.
