Is Warzone 2 Sniping Still Ruined?

Here's clips from my latest Warzone 2 stream, when I get "suprised" when not downing an enemy although I shot him in the head with a sniper. I know that's the case when having a three plate west, but seriously; how long do we have to wait until Infinity Ward decides to make the snipers one shot headshot kills again? Season 3, maybe?
