The Mono 45 record in the photo might show a different song time length than the actual song length in the video, that is because the radio station that put the tapes together did not always use the edited version and the reason I still use the 45 record in the photo is because it depicts the "MONO" logo that relates to how the song was transferred to the tape in mono by the radio station, or service that prepared the mono mix tapes for the station. Track was taken from a AM Radio Station, DJ Edit, Mono Mix, Reel To Reel Tape and was put together for the station on November 18, 1979. The tape is 3M Classic, CL-7R120 on 7 inch reel, running at 7.5 I.P.S. and transferred to home recorded CD some years back.
The mono mix is unique in the way it was processed from stereo fold down for mono AM playback as it sounds like more was done than just flipping on a mono switch, since most of the mono mixes on these tapes have more punch in the sound than would normally have by turning the mono switch on the stereo versions of these songs. There are more tracks from this tape and the other mono tapes from the radio station that I might eventually add later on. From the peak era of AM rock stations in my area just before FM drove many out of the music play business and into mostly talk radio formats like today. These tapes were found at a thrift shop in my area back in the late 90's.
Transferred with stereo components shown on channel background photos and featured channel video.
