Boot Windows 7/8 off a USB:
Most USB's are not fully bootable. You have to convince the computer your USB is a hard drive. Go to http://www.rmprepusb.com for instructions. If not, kingston sells "Windows to Go Drives" which allows you to install a bootable windows on it.
