Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,
August 15th is a special day – it's Independence Day! On this day, many years ago in 1947, India became free from British rule.
Our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru fought hard for our freedom. One famous incident is the Dandi March. In 1930,is
Mahatma Gandhi walked 240 miles to make salt from the sea, protesting against British taxes. This showed the world our strength and unity.
Independence Day is a time to be proud of our country. We remember our heroes and their sacrifices. We should always be thankful to them.
As students, we can help our country by studying well and being good. Let's promise to make India even better.
