My Last Day of Acting Class: What Happened?
When I started taking acting classes about 8 months ago when I moved to NY, I didn't know what to expect. Fast forward and here we are at my last class of term two! From learning script analysis and doing scenes for the first time to getting on the sets of a feature film and having lines for a student project, it's all been so quick. And so fun.

Hey there! I'm Jacky. I'm aspiring actor based in NYC. On my channel I take you through the ups and downs of what it's like trying to become an actor while balancing a full-time job (and YouTube 🙂).
Growing up in a working class Chinese family, I was always encouraged to pursue financial stability and a "practical" career. I've always thought that I had to pick one path or the other - that I had to either be rich and miserable doing a job I didn't love or be a starving artist. But now I'm starting to see that maybe there's a middle path.
I'm hoping that I can inspire others to pursue what they're passionate about and also (selfishly) hope that I'll someday be able to look back on this period of my life and be content with wherever the journey takes me.
