The reason given was that Honkai Impact 3rd was supposedly not recognized as a HoYoverse game. This decision appears to have been made by local representatives or convention admins at the event. Despite the contest being sponsored by HoYoverse, only cosplays from Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero were permitted.
