Pop or Jump a Layer in After Effects
In this tutorial you’ll learn how have a layer pop or jump instead of gradually move in After Effects.
Here’s a quick recap:
You can use this for pretty much any property in After Effects but in this example we’ll use Position. Set the Position property to the value you want. Set a keyframe. Move to another point in time and change the Position property value again. Repeat as needed. Next, select all the keyframes on the layer and right-click one of them. Go to Keyframe Interpolation… from the menu that appears. In the box that pops up, change the Temporal Interpolation to “Hold” and click OK.
