CANADA'S BEST BUSINESS CLASS: Air Canada VS Westjet
This video has been a little delayed but I wanted to make sure it was perfect. In this video I'll determine who has the best longhaul business class product in Canada. Air Canada has been the only Canadian airline to offer business class however in February 2019 Westjet countered them with their own business class product. I'll retrace my steps on both flights and identify the highs and lows of both airlines business class! Westjet in my eyes has the best business class product in Canada. This was the first time they had introduced business class and they smashed it out of the park. The 16 pods played out in a 1-2-1 configuration make the cabin feel exclusive and private. The various colors laid out around the cabin give it an exciting look and sets it apart from other airlines business class products. Although the seat is based on the Air Canada seat there are keys features that help it stand out. The legroom was outstanding as it should be and the seat material was comfortable. The bed was quite long as well and the provided mattress and pillow were super great quality as well. The seat design is outstanding with lots of storage areas around the seat to store camera equipment, phone, wallet, or anything else important you might travel with. The IFE is a huge upgrade from the Westjet Connect app and there's a large selection of media to choose from. The interactive maps are also a nice feature. I've always loved the crew members onboard Westjet always smiling and happy to go the extra mile to make the experience great for every passenger. The cabin manager greets every passenger and addresses them by their last name. The crew was thorough in describing every aspect of the cabin and the seat and never hesitated to give me more than what I needed. Westjet also has competitive prices for one way business class tickets and if I fly to Europe or any other longhaul destination their 787 will fly too, they'll always be my first choice!
