Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Advent Air Electric Heat Strip, part number ACMHD. The Advent Air Heat Strip installs on your AC unit so it operates as a heater. This way you've got an all in one climate control system. It provides 5500 BTUs of heat, which is enough to heat a small RV or trailer. It's an easy plug and play installation with your Advent Air system. Let's go ahead and show you that now.

We're going to be installing our electric heat strip on the ceiling mount Advent air conditioner, part number ADM150. We're installing ours on a new unit, but if yours is already on your RV, you just go up on top and install it there. There are 10 screws located around the perimeter of the cover. Just remove those screws and slide your cover off. Your heat strip goes under your indoor coil cover.

Just pull up to remove that, and set it aside.Your heat strip is going to attach to the front of the coil using four screws. Drop your wire down inside. Slide your heat strip in place, and thread in your screws. There's two holes on each side of your heat strip. You'll attach those using the four screws provided in your kit.

Reinstall your coil cover. Just press that into place, and then reseal the putty around the openings. Slide your cover back on, and secure it with the 10 screws. Once you've completed your installation, you'll just plug this into the control box on your RV, or if you have a new unit that you're installing and you put it in there, just tuck that up inside so you can connect it later.
