Women across the world have overcome many hurdles to start their own business; social stigmas, lack of access to higher education, financial unavailability are to name a few. However, there has been an increase in women entrepreneurs in India but at a lower rate. To help tackle the problems faced by women, N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at IIM Bangalore in collaboration with other premium institutions is offering Women Startup Programme (WSP). These institutions help bring together women entrepreneurs from across the country under a single platform with uniform implementation.
The Women Startup Programme will enthuse aspiring entrepreneurs to systematically think through their venture idea. This programme is supported by Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Goldman Sachs. The programme will help women to develop entrepreneurial skill sets to help from ideation to implementation stage and develop managerial skill sets that will help them start and grow their venture.
