Two effects can be used to make black backgrounds transparent in Adobe Premiere Pro. This allows you to use stock video material with transparency without the video file having to actually have alpha information (like YouTube stock videos for example) and without the need for finding Greenscreen footage. Dealing with green screen is an entirely other beast after all.
