Remember, most vehicles have only 5 seat belts. That is one for the driver and four more for four passengers. If you need a ride for MORE THAN FOUR people, you should pay for an upgraded ride (SUV Class) or request two separate Lyft rides using two different phones (share a code for referral credits).

If you need to save money, you can request the Lyft Line service and get a ride for 1 or 2 people (maximum), directly from Point A to Point B, with no additional stops.

If you abuse this feature, and try to "squeeze" extra people into the car, the driver can legally refuse service, charge you a "cancel" fee, or possibly have your rider account deactivated. Don't risk it.

If you need a ride for an unaccompanied child under 18, please try the service called "Hop Skip Drive." I haven't used it, but I have researched it and I feel good about recommending it, and I met one driver who does it. He says the background check and interview process is very extensive and takes a long time.
