Hi guys,
Creating digital download products such as the art printables I will be using in the video is time efficient, fun, and super straightforward for anyone looking to create an easy-to-manage Etsy shop in their spare time.
You never have to worry about manufacturing, packing, and shipping your item every time it's sold and your chosen platform will usually take care of transferring your digital download to your customers so you quite literally have nothing to do!!
As I always talk about in my blog, if you're looking to turn your little side hustle into a 'strong' new income stream, then growing your Etsy shop into a competitive, self-sustained business is a whole other story and DOES require a wealth of additional elements other than simply adding listings.
...But don't panic, I promise if you're willing to learn the simple steps you need to take to grow a super successful low-maintenance Etsy business then definitely check out my blog www.evaknows.com and I will show you how it's done!
For now, on this video, I'm simply going to show you the ESSENTIAL things you need to do to create a beautiful and SEO-friendly Etsy listing for a digital download product.
Note: I also want to note that there is much controversy when it comes to presenting your products photos on Etsy especially digital downloads that have obviously no physical form until the customer purchases them and decides how they want them presented (e.g. what paper printed on, what frame to put them in).
I've included a link to the Etsy regulations on how to display your listings so that you're fully clued up on the fact that Etsy wants you to be as clear, concise and accurate as possible when displaying what your customer will get.
I always recommend using your imagery and your product description to clearly explain that your customer will be getting a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD and NOT the illustration seen in the image!
Please make this clear and of course, always stay as aware as possible of Etsy's rules and try to follow them as much as you possibly can :)
