Having played hours and hours of survival over the years in Space Engineers I thought I would do what I could to help those new to the game that I love. If you're interested in some of the things that are possible with Space Engineers have a look at our machinima series Light Echoes.
This video is focused on setting up a new survival game for those who are only taking their first Space Engineering steps. It has been remade with the latest UI and HUD update to ensure the information is as accurate as possible.
In the video you'll notice that I recommend Eikester's mods to check out first, his are far from the only great mods on the workshop. Some of my other favourite mod authors include Digi, Jimmacle, Sektan and even though he's not active in the community any more Kolt16 for his amazing console mods that still sit nicely with the Space Engineers aesthetic.
The future tutorial videos in this series will all be focused on survival and will be guided by the common questions I've noticed on the Space Engineers subreddit, discord and forums. If you have any particular areas you are struggling with make sure you ask in the comments and I'll do my best to help you out. If it seems to be a particular area of trouble I'll also make a video about how to deal with those areas in the future.
As always, don't forget to enjoy this awesome (if at times buggy) game!
