The Kowloon Walled City was this tiny rectangle of anarchy that looked like it belonged in Bladerunner or Cyberpunk 2077. A political mistake from the Opium Wars meant that this walled city was outside the jurisdiction of any government. A true Gangster's Paradise from Coolio's song, criminal organizations ran this city of 50k people until the Hong Kong military eventually evicted everyone. What happened?
