Vicuñas are actually from the camel family not deer! And they are the smallest such camel and are protected by law in Chile. it is so nice to see them along the road and also how they are sitting happily around the beautiful lagoons. However the water of the lagoons is salty so I don't think they can drink it. There are predators like the Puma who might catch them at night.
