Nearly 10,000 South Korean doctors are on strike, and some face licence suspension and arrest if they don’t stop.🇰🇷 I react to the current doctor crisis in South Korea, which, unfortunately, has many similarities to the cracks in the US healthcare system.

Korean doctors are concerned that the country’s new initiative to immediately add 2000 medical school spots per year from the current 3000 will flood the medical system in a negative way while reducing their already low pay, especially for doctors-in-training who work extraordinarily long hours at an incredibly low wage.
