Change Composition (Comp) Size in After Effects
In this tutorial you’ll learn how to easily change the size / dimensions of a composition, commonly called “comp” in After Effects. You can make your comp bigger or smaller in just a couple of seconds.
Here’s a quick recap:
With the composition selected, open the Composition Settings. You can go to the Composition menu to find this or use the keyboard shortcut Command+K (Mac) or Control+K (Windows).
From here choose one of the presets from the dropdown menu or manually change the width and/or height. If you need to change the aspect ratio, uncheck the “Lock Aspect Ratio to…” button. When you’re done, click OK.
Note that the elements in the composition aren’t changed. Basically the “frame” of your picture is resized, but everything remained the same. So you may need to scale elements down or up depending on what you changed the composition size to.
