The African pompano (Alectis ciliaris) is a species of tropical marine fish in the jack family.

The Juveniles can be found on Bonfire and Blackwater dives all over the world, but this one was shot in Anilao, Philippines at Blue Ribbon Dive Resort.

The long filamentous dorsal and anal fin tips are thought to discourage predators, maybe imitating jellyfish out in the blue water.
