As June comes to a close, the tropics are showing signs of some activity with the National Hurricane Center monitoring two disturbances: one set to move into the Gulf of Mexico and the other in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
The first system, designated as Invest 94-L, could impact the western Caribbean and southwestern Gulf of Mexico. It's currently sitting in the central Caribbean Sea. The disturbance is producing disorganized shower activity and is quickly moving to the west at 25 mph.
