We are joined by Jeffrey Mishlove at his home in New Mexico. Jeffrey was the first and still only Parapsychologist who was conferred a PhD (in 1980) in that field of study. He grew up in a religious family – and a family unbeknownst to young Jeffrey at the time – that was also steeped in mystical tradition. We discuss his path to his calling that was kickstarted by a couple of transcendental dreams. He was a man whose interests were transformed from studying the negative forms of human deviance (criminality) to the positive forms of human deviance. We learn about the story of his mentor Arthur M. Young, the inventor of the helicopter and cosmologist and astrologer. We discuss skeptics vs scoffers, ESP, the perpetual game of hide and seek, cosmic choices after death, the artistic endeavour and the importance of investigating areas of high strangeness. The universe reaches out when you are striving to be the best person you can be.
If you enjoyed this one, you may appreciate these conversations with other parapsychologists: Loyd Auerbach (ep. 167) Dianne Hennacy (ep.113), Sharon Rawlette (ep.99)
