Can we use Flashlights for Filmmaking and Photography?
I wanted to find out and partnered with ACEBEAM to re-create a Scene from Netflix’ DARK with a 68,000 Lumens Flashlight - The X75. In addition to ACEBEAM’s strongest light we also got two Acebeam X50 CRI Flashlights. Those can be used perfectly for Filmmaking & Photography because of their Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 95.
Often it can be a hassle to bring powerful lights to your set, especially when you are shooting outdoors and there’s no electricity to power them. That’s why I picked some of my favorite scenes from the Netflix Show „DARK“ and tried to re-create it only with light from Acebeam Flashlights.. Instead of an ARRI Alexa 65 which was used to film the Netflix Original we used my Canon R5 to film this.
