Rainy Days 12: Liquid Drum & Bass
Went all out on this session for you: imagine everything the RAINY DAYS series represents x 1000 😍 Emotive piano samples/compositions from Liquid Masters at the height of their game, balanced with atmospheric soundscapes. Every track was carefully chosen to complement the one preceding it, and consequently overlaps of around 60-90 seconds abound throughout the set. I tell you, this one was giving ME goosebumps as I played it back! 🙂 We start off with a belter of a release by Changer, whose grounding was originally in Trance, but what an impression he's leaving in the world of Drum & Bass! 'Who Knows Me' is taken from his EP 'Sunrise', really worth checking out. Another release which blew me away very recently was Soul:Motion's 'Only These Things' (title track featured here); again, every track a winner. The tracks which follow only intensify in flavour: a little smokey blues, a little light jazz here and there. Lots of injected emotion. The set ends on an almighty note with Calibre's excellent remix of London Grammar's 'If You Wait'. Sincerely hope you enjoy this one.
