Catchlights bring life to the eyes, especially those of Asian and African descent. It's all about the melanin pigment affecting irises, skin, and hair.
Solution? Add catch lights. They're reflections that make eyes captivating. They draw attention and enhance portraits.

✅ Working with a sample photo, we'll make catch lights stand out more.
✅ Photographers use different lighting setups. Here, we're using the ring light effect. Experiment with shapes, setups, and references.
✅ Use the ellipse tool with white fill to draw a circle on the iris. Apply stroke, inner glow, and outer glow in blending options. Adjust placement to match mood.
✅ Soften light edges with Gaussian blur.
✅ Duplicate for the other eye. Add overlay blending layer, paint with soft brush against light source, and apply Gaussian blur.
✅ Adjust duplicated layer's opacity.
✅ Group all as "catch light."
✅ Experiment with fill-opacity and add a layer mask for convincing catch lights.
