What's the Llama doing in The Sims games??

I have been looking forward to making this video for so long. It's been on my mind for a while, and finally I found to time to get this video together. The llamas were such a mystery to me growing up with the sims-games. The curiosity finally got the better of me, and it makes such good sense!
Were this old news to you, or am I not as late to the party as I think?
