What is the opportunity cost of using social media?
Opportunity cost describes the cost of choosing one thing over another. In this case it is using your time to be on Instagram or TikTok instead of anything else.
We are spending more time than ever on our phones. On average worldwide adults use social media for about 2.5 hours every day.
That's a little over 900 hours a year. What could you do with that time instead of swiping up for the 100th time?
