This video demonstrates how to broach an internal form into a custom alloy part, similar to one used with a socket wrench. Most turning machines will be suitable for this application, including lathes, mills, and machining centers.

The pilot hole is larger than the minor diameter of the rotary broach. The part has a chamfer and plenty of room for chips. The feed rate is being done manually, and speed is set to about 500 RPM.

Polygon Solution's GT Series Rotary Broach holder (gold color) is adjustment free and has sealed bearings. As you can see, there is not much heat generated with this type of operation. The use of cutting oils or coolants is primarily for lubrication.
