Enabling query load and refresh in Power Query allows the data retrieved and transformed by your queries to be loaded into Power BI and refreshed on a schedule, ensuring that your reports always have access to the most up-to-date data from the source. However, there are scenarios where you might want to disable load or refresh, such as when you're building intermediate or helper queries that are only used for data transformation steps but don't need to be loaded into your final dataset. Disabling load or refresh in such cases can improve query performance and reduce unnecessary data duplication in your reports.
