In a recent interview with VP Land, Talbert Herndon introduced SpatialCut, a revolutionary spatial video editing platform designed specifically for the Apple Vision Pro. As the first of its kind, SpatialCut aims to transform the way stories are told and experienced through spatial video.
What is Spatial Video?
Spatial video is a new medium that captures footage using cameras with two lenses, creating a stereoscopic effect. This technology allows viewers to experience the content in a more immersive way, as if they were reliving a memory. Talbert explains: "Even in WWDC, Canon and Blackmagic just released their new stereoscopic cameras. So there's a lot of investment that are going into this and if you're not actually a professional filmmaker or a specialist, VR filmmaker. You can even just use your phone. The new iPhone 15s actually have spatial cameras to it."
