In this video I will tell you how to get from Milan to Lake Como on your own by public transport, how much it will cost. What can you see on Lake Como, what attractions are there, where to try the most delicious ice cream and how to find the most beautiful places in the city of Como.
Lake Como can be reached from 3 train stations in Milan:
Milano Cadorna
Milano Porta Garibaldi passante
Milano Centrale
In the city of Como near the lake, trains stop at two railway stations:
Como San Giovanni
Como Nord Lago
In the city itself and directly near Lake Como you can see various villas, cathedrals, parks and also stroll along the beautiful streets of the city. Some villas can only be seen from the water; for this you will need to use water transport. There are three types of water transport between towns on Lake Como: motor ships, speedboats and ferries. The price depends on the distance of the trip and ranges from one and a half euros to 13 euros one way. Accordingly, a round trip ticket will cost 2 times more. There is an option to buy a day pass, the price of which will also depend on its route and coverage area.
