Chewed balls for smoothbore flintlocks
I experimented with some chewed balls I worked up using the www.Forth-Armory.com Vortex Ball Roller tool.
The tool works great, but the chewed balls performed like the others I've tried in the past.
Which is to say, no better than smooth balls in my 20 GA fusil DeChasse.
But they did motivated me to spend a morning at the range burning powder.
