In Turkey, a sweep is being carried out against illegal immigrants. The police regularly conduct raids in all regions of the country, especially in places where migrants are concentrated. The Turkish Interior Ministry has received the right to inspect private homes where migrants work as nannies, nurses or servants. If employees do not have a permit to stay and work in the country, then the owner of the house faces a fine. In addition to illegal immigrants, the police detain those who live at addresses not specified in the documents. According to the source, a total of 15591 people were detained in the country at that time. Most of them were sent to deportation centers, and 6883 of them have already been deported. Many Turkmens living in Istanbul say that the situation is quite tense. They are afraid to go out and show themselves to the police once again.
Since the beginning of June, after the re-election of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, former Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya has been appointed Turkish Foreign Minister.
Judging by Yerlikai's actions, now the main task of the Interior Ministry is to clean up Turkey from illegal immigrants.
