Install and Uninstall Veritas Backup Agent on Linux
Step by step installation of the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Linux
NOTE: Backup Exec 2014 / 15 / 16 / 20.1 / 20.2 / 20.3 / 20.4 / 20.5 only provide the support as the Remote Agent for Linux Servers.
Backup Exec 20.6 and higher support the Unix OS. Please refer to software compatibility list each Backup Exec version.
1. Upload Agent linux on ISO file to VM that we want to install
2. This is a one step command to extract and untar the file.
tar zvxf filename.tar.gz
or
tar -zxvf filename.tar.gz
3. fix issue cannot install RALUS by
sudo apt install net-tools
4. let's install script:
./installralus
Press Enter until finish.
5. Let's Uninstall
./uninstallralus
Press Enter until finish.
