Our Frame Failed its Inspection
We got our frame inspection back for this job we've been working on, and the frame failed.
We have had a great run previously with the frames we had done this year, but for a few different reasons there were a few items on this inspection list.
Firstly I have been running this job as a subcontractor with a range of people thrown in to help on various days, and we didn't get the job done before the inspection was due, so there were a few things missed that we knew about, but the inspector had to note.
In terms of some of the missing load studs, which are a bigger mistake. Even tho I wasn't marking out those walls, I should have been on top of double checking everyones work on this job, and I hold responsibilty on the mistake.
I don't normally see people share the fails in their work, and I want to try and be as transparent about the trade as possible, which also means sharing the reality of what happens with the jobs that I am working on, and sharing the frame reports after a job.
